Comic for Monday June 2nd, 2003

Hope you all had a great weekend. I had a pretty decent one. We went to the Pet Expo at the State Fairgrounds and got to see many dogs of all breeds. There was a Jack Russell and he was quite the charmer of course. There were a pair of beautiful Chow Chows and Whippets. I am still amazed as to how soft Greyhounds and Whippets are. They feel like soft silky velvet. Softer then any other dog I've come across.

We also saw a Teeny Tiny Chihuahua. The dog was SMALL. It only weighed 3 pounds, but the owner said they come in a size smaller called Tea Cup. This dog is supposed to weigh only 1-2 lbs. 1-2 LBS?! That is just ridiculous.

Boy am I tired.

Anyway Spirit 23 was fun to work on. It's always fun when you can start drawing new places and characters. We get to see two of them in this strip. Mr. Murphy is a minor character like Dean Brandes. What does he teach? Phys Ed of course!! We also see a cameo from the bassist of super band Sprout. They of course are a real Long Island band which I highly recommend. So check them out and be sure to check them out should you be in the Long Island area for they absolutely rock hard.

Another chalkboard message surfaces and again I thank the Simpsons for years of entertainment and education about our lives.
