Hello friends, I am very sorry for the very first late comic in the history of Ninja Spirit. Blame the Memorial Day holiday if you must I was away and didn't remember to bring the vital files and programs necessary to upload the comic on time. That and I was spending all of Sunday night trying to figure out just what the Matrix Reloaded was all about.

A group of us, including me, The Kelly, Joe, Dave, and my bro went and saw Matrix R on Sunday and we must all approve. The amount of brainpower needed to try and comprehend what the movie was telling you was almost as intense as the whole Smith-Neo fight. I'm sure there are people who will sit there and say they "got it" really easily. F them. The movie combined excellent action with a mind blowing philosophical brain fuck that actually made you think. I mean imagine that- an action movie that makes you think.

I also saw Spirited Away this weekend with Dave and Kelly. It was excellent and I would recommend it to anyone. My endorsement of this movie doesn't come easily mind you. I have a long running disdain for Studio Ghibli and their J Disney ways.

Anyway I'm running late as it is so I will move on to the comic. Spirit 21 is actually a spur of the moment add on to the comic. I had originally intended the comic that will now be known as Spirit 23 to be 21, but instead added two strips which I thought would help flesh out some of these characters. In this case, substance over speed won out. So before we see Yuki in the "Time-Out" room, we'll get to see Lord Hawk make another appearance. Look for another return as well as a new character for Thursday's comic!!

As for the art, the backgrounds all came out nice and I think it's great to actually get a change in the scenery after being cooped up in the back of the school for an entire month and a half. I do like the way the mountains look in Panel 1 with the cloud shadows drifting over them. I also like that I managed to get the baseball diamond to look about right. Continuity-wise, you will notice that the mountains are there in accordance to the Kawasaki map on the Setting Page. Also, Joe's profile mentions he plays baseball intramurals. Small things I say.

River feels guilty of a crime.
