Comic for Thursday May 22nd, 2003

Happy Birthday to my mom!! Actually her birthday is tomorrow, but I don't know if I'm going to do another post till then so I might as well get it out now. Where my dad is the rock of the family, my mom is like the heart. I really couldn't have asked for a better mom and I know she'll be around for years to come just for the fact that she needs to collect for all I owe her in my life.

I think I'll leave it at that for now.

As for Spirit 2-0, I have to say that I am still psyched to draw this comic. It's a ton of fun and I hope that the burn out factor doesn't come into play any time soon. I don't doubt that it'll come because it always does. Ask any artist and they will concur. Still I enjoy drawing Ninja Spirit and that's really the bottom line.

I have switched image formats starting from Spirit 20. Previously I had been using high res 256 color GIF files. I have now bent to the need to conserve space and switched to high quality JPEG's. The good thing is that the color gradations look a lot smoother with much more colors at the files beck and call. However the bad thing is that the images will also be somewhat less crisp with jaggies and distortions popping up in odd places. If anyone has an idea on the matter please drop me a line. 

The comic itself looks pretty decent, but I think the joke coulda used some work somewhere. SSDD.
