Comic for Thursday April 17th, 2003 |

| Wednesday - April 16, 2003 Nothing new happened so far this week. I haven't even watched a lot of TV. The only thing I have watched this week so far is 24. What a great show that is. Sure the fact that it is in real time is a bit gimmicky, but it works. They pace everything so well. I don't know how to describe it really. The show just makes you feel time. The fact that everything seems like a countdown and that there just doesn't seem to be enough of it. I never really saw the first season so I can't say if it was this good before, but if you aren't watching it, wait till the 2nd season comes out on video and rent it. In the meanwhile go out and rent the first season. Here I was thinking that Kiefer Sutherland's career peaked with Young Guns. Screw any of you who don't think that was a good movie. Me and my friends thought it was so good we tried to make a Young Guns parody when we were kids. You try making a western in suburban Long Island. On a lighter note, there's been some thought going on about sauce, in this particular case the kind you pour on spaghetti aka what the Italians call Gravy. My two cents is this. If you can't f'in cook, then you can't f'in cook. Be it sauce or Flounder Muniere. Be you Italian or Nigerian. And that's the bottom line cause well that's the bottom line. Spirit ten. I had a fun time drawing this comic. The images all came to me rather easily. In fact, I dare say that I had them in mind while I thought of the script. I do love the expression on Joe and Yuki in the 3rd panel though. It cracked me up a couple of times. Let's not forget Kappa, who makes his first appearance in this comic. I went through a few designs for the water demon, but this is the one that finally stuck. I'm not too attached to kappa, but he seems to be the type that you can stick in some design somewhere. That's all I got to say for now. Peace.
