“Chapter Five is Here!!” Monday – October 15th, 2006
Well we’re finally here everyone. Chapter Five officially kicks off today with the Splash page for the chapter. I think it sets the tone quite well. Pretty much all the previous chapters have been leading to this showdown. The Fuzen are sick of waiting for their time to come and let me assure that the time has finally come. The chapter proper will begin on Thursday when we take a bit of a detour in the past and across the ocean in the land of the rising sun. So hopefully this splash page whets your appetite a bit.
I want to take the time right now to thank every single one of you who’s stuck through this long hiatus in the NS storyline. I hadn’t planned on taking this long to start the chapter, but I promise that you can look forward to some really nice things. The time off has allowed me to polish up my drawing and cgi skills somewhat as I think you can see from the progression taken from one shot to one shot. Again, I think you can say that this one is almost drawn entirely on the computer. It took a while, but again I said I’d use the complete computer method when I had big splash type images like this. However not to digress I want to say that this art is thanks to your patience. I wanted to make sure that I didn’t rust and I wanted to make sure you came back to something better than when you left it. I hope you like the improvements. As a thank you present I’ve concentrated on updating the bonus section. Here is a rundown of some site upgrades so you can check them out.
1. Cast profiles have been completely updated. This includes most images.
2. Lost fanart has been updated
3. More wallpapers added
4. Updated versions of the “Who is your NS Mr./Miss Right?” tests.
5. The Ninja Spirit Battle League is now open on the NS Forums.
5. Added some buttons of various sizes for linking.
I started Ninja Spirit to tell a story and it’s still not done. I promise that this comic will never end without telling the complete story barring something like my death. In which case I’ll make sure my brother or someone can post my outline for the story so you can at least know how it ends. It’s truly been a tough last few months for me with my life in limbo. I think knowing all of you were pulling for not only the return of the comic but for me to get through the tough times has really helped. I will never tire of thanking you so to everyone from the US, Europe, Indonesia, New Zealand, and everywhere in between… from the bottom of my heart… thank you. I hope you enjoy Ninja Spirit as we head into the back stretch of chapters. See you on Thursday!!
